A creamy and delicious variation on the classic margarita. The coconut margarita is great for an afternoon by the beach or an after-dinner dessert.
Optional coconut rim: Rub rim of glass with a lime wedge then dip it into shredded coconut. Consider toasting coconut beforehand.
In a shaker, combine tequila, lime juice, agave nectar or simple syrup, triple sec, and coconut milk with ice.
Shake well until mixture is chilled.
Strain into the prepared glass, with or without additional ice.
Garnish with lime wedge.
