Ingredients

  • 2 parts mezcal
  • 1 part orange liqueur
  • 1 part fresh squeezed lime juice
  • agave nectar or simple syrup for sweetening
  • ice
  • salt for the rim

Instructions

  1. Optional salt rim: Rub a lime wedge around the rim of the glass and then dip into a plate of salt.

  2. In a shaker, mix the mezcal, orange liqueur, and lime juice with ice. Add agave nectar or simple syrup if you prefer a sweeter taste.

  3. Shake until mixture is chilled.

  4. Strain the cocktail into the prepared glass.

  5. Garnish with a lime wedge.
