Prepare the peach puree by blending ripe peaches until a smooth mixture.
Optional salt rim: Rub the rim of the glass with a lime wedge and dip glass into plate of salt.
In a shaker, combine the tequila, peach puree, lime juice, triple sec, and simple syrup with ice.
Shake well until the mixture is chilled.
Strain into the prepared glass.
Garnish with a lime wedge or a peach slice.
