Learning about this stand-outish not-a-wine
I’m….not particularly keen on this one. Mostly because of the fact that Lambrini is marketed one hundred percent to women, and therefore doesn’t interest me much. However, there is a vested interest in learning about it. And so, without further ado, let’s get right into the Lambrini history.
Lambrini History
Lambrini actually isn’t a wine, but technically it’s a perry. It was first made available in 1994, created by Halewood International, and brewed in Liverpool. It’s the most popular perry in the British market (probably because most people drink wine,) making up about 56 percent of perry sales.
As I’ve said before, Lambrini is marketed exclusively to women. This is made immediately apparent when you go on their website, look at their flavor range, and it asks if you’re ‘a classic kind of girl.’ Anyways, there are a variety of flavor options: original, skinny original, peach, strawberry, cherry, blueberry, and their new one, passionfruit.
Also, good news for you girls who like to drink on the cheap! 2009 study identified Lambrini as the cheapest product in the wine category, when it comes to unit of alcohol price. And in case you want to know, its 5% alcohol by volume; fairly typical for a perry. Until 2015, their slogan was “Lambrini girls just wanna have fun.”
Yeah, unfortunately there isn’t much Lambrini history to speak of, but it’s still fun to look at; and if you want a fruity alcoholic drink, it might be your choice option!

Unfortunately, you can only use this service if you’re 21 or over. Saucey is very careful about making sure we operate within the parameters of the law. ID checks are necessary for every single delivery. Your delivery person will use a scanner to check your driver’s license, passport, or state-issued ID card. Your delivery will be given to you once your age has been verified via identification scan. Once that’s done, now you’re ready to drink your whiskey. And now that you know the Lambrini History, you’ll appreciate it more!
