Types of tequila for delivery
Blanco
Blanco tequila (also called “silver” and “white”) pure, unaged distilled blue agave, and that’s it. Blanco is clear and has a bright flavor. It’s a favorite in cocktails like the paloma or for tequila shots with salt and lime. Blanco is also the base for all other tequila varieties.
Reposado
Reposado tequilas are slightly aged. Reposado means resting in Spanish. These tequilas take a little siesta in oak barrels for minimum two months, which imbues them with their golden color and spicy, earthy flavor. Choose a reposado tequila if you want to deepen the flavors of your margaritas, but it’s also a good choice to drink on it’s own.
Añejo
Anejo tequilas are aged more than one year, creating a dark, earthy and mature flavor. Anejo is usually reserved for drinking on it’s own, so one can savor the time and effort put in by the distillery. But, anejo cocktails are growing in popularity.
