Sip, sip, hooray for Prohibition Repeal Day
On December 5, 1933, the Prohibition was repealed. President Franklin Roosevelt amended the Volstead Act to allow people to drink beer while they waited for the 21st Amendment to be ratified.
To celebrate? The first team of Budweiser Clydesdales was sent to the White House to give President Roosevelt a ceremonial case of beer.
