We're SO over mimosas

Green smoothies are out, veggie cocktails are in. While you thought avocados were meant for guacamole, we’ve been sipping on these three amazing green cocktails for a healthier, new year.

Carrot Cognac

INGREDIENTS:
2 oz D’usse Cognac
1 oz carrot juice
1/4 oz fresh lemon juice
Dash angostura bitters
Dash walnut bitters
Ginger root slice, for garnish
Ground cinnamon, for garnish

DIRECTIONS: Add all ingredients (hold ginger root and cinnamon) to a shaker with ice and shake until chilled. Strain into a martini glass and garnish with ginger root and cinnamon.

Avo-Quila

INGREDIENTS:
1 1/2 oz Casamigos Blanco Tequila
1 tsp celery salt
4 tbsp kosher salt
1/2 ripe avocado
1 1/2 oz lime juice
1 1/2 oz agave nectar
Lime wedge

DIRECTIONS: Mix salts in small bowl. Wet rim of a margarita glass with lime wedge and dip into salt mixture to coat. Muddle avocado, lime juice, and agave in mixing glass. Add tequila. Top with ice and shake. Strain into glass.

Garden Salad Gin & Tonic

INGREDIENTS:
8 oz Hendrick’s Gin
2 tbsp fresh herb leaves (mixture of thyme, basil, cilantro, parsley)
¼ cup chopped fresh tomato
¼ cup chopped cucumber
Ice cubes
4 oz tonic water
Herb sprigs for garnish

DIRECTIONS:  Crush herbs, tomato, and cucumber into a chilled tall glass into pulpy mush with a wooden bar muddler. Fill the glass with ice cubes, 4oz gin, and tonic water. Gently stir to combine and garnish with herb sprigs.
