7 Pumpkin Spice Cocktails To Try This Fall

You know you want it. You’ve been waiting for this moment for so long you can barely contain yourself. It’s not healthy to suppress your desires like this. You want it so bad you can almost taste it. It’s finally time — there’s no denying it anymore. Just give in, and let the pumpkin spice wash over you like a warm wave of strong Fall aromas and vibrant Autumn colors.
Sure, pumpkin spice lattes are great in the morning (or the afternoon, depending on the kind of night you had), but after work, you need a way to get your pumpkin fix without all that caffeine keeping you up all night. Plus, you don’t want to look basic, walking around with a Starbucks PSL glued to your hand all day like some Becky.
Don’t worry, we got you.
Pumpkin spice doesn’t have to be a four-letter word. It doesn’t have to be reserved for  Thanksgiving pies, or lattes in the month of November. You can enjoy pumpkin spice during happy hour, at the club, or even in the comfort of your own home!
You can basically turn any cocktail into a pumpkin spice cocktail if you try hard enough, but we rounded up some of our favorite recipes, perfect for any Fall occasion from Halloween parties, to Friends-giving, to “it’s too cold to go out, let’s just stay in and drink a bottle of whiskey for dinner!”

1. Pumpkin Spice Martini

Let’s start with something simple. This elegant Pumpkin Spice Martini is very subtle — perfect for those of you who still aren’t sure about this whole pumpkin thing. With hints of rich Fall flavors like vanilla, coffee, cinnamon, and nutmeg, this martini is the perfect dessert cocktail for a cool autumn night.

1.5 oz vanilla flavored vodka
1.5 oz  Irish cream liqueur
1.5 oz  pumpkin flavored liqueur
1 cup ice cubes (optional)
1 pinch ground cinnamon (garnish)
1 pinch ground nutmeg (garnish)

2. Pumpkin Pie Martini

Don’t worry, that was just the beginning. Let’s take that Pumpkin Spice Martini to the next level with a Pumpkin Pie Martini. This cocktail is a little thicker (‘cause we know how you like ‘em!), and bursting with pumpkin goodness. Pairs well with turkey, potatoes, corn, greens, rolls, yams, and that thing your Aunt always makes that looks kind of gross but tastes amazing.

1.5 oz Stoli Vanilla Vodka
1 graham cracker, crushed
1 tablespoon honey
1/3 cup milk
2 tablespoons pumpkin puree
1.5 oz creme de cacao
1 pinch pumpkin pie spice (garnish)

3. Frozen Pumpkin Pie Cocktail

OK, so this is basically a pumpkin spice milkshake spiked with rum, but OH MY GOD — why did it take this long for this to become a thing? You’d think this would have happened shortly after the wheel was invented. The Frozen Pumpkin Pie cocktail is best enjoyed as a dessert drink, in front of a roaring fire.

1 oz Captain Morgan Black Spiced Rum
2 scoops vanilla ice cream
1/2 cup crushed ice
1 tbsp canned pumpkin
1 oz half-and-half
1/4 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
2 tablespoons whipped topping
1 pinch pumpkin pie spice (garnish)

4. The Great Pumpkin Cocktail

It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown is the best part of Halloween. Fight me. Celebrate this year in style! Serve these zesty cocktails at your next Halloween party for a simply smashing reaction.

1/2 oz Bailey’s Irish Cream Pumpkin Spiced Liqueur
1 oz Dewar’s Scotch whisky
1oz The King’s Ginger Liqueur
1/2 oz fresh lemon juice
1/2 oz maple syrup
Dash of cinnamon (garnish)

5. Pumpkin Fever Cocktail

I got a fever, and the only prescription is more pumpkin. This simple dessert cocktail combines sweet and spicy like that “I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Clause” song, but with even more liquor. Creamy and smooth, this Pumpkin Fever cocktail is sure to be a hit at Friends-giving this year.

1 oz Sailor Jerry Spiced Navy Rum
2 oz Bols Pumpkin Smash
1/4 oz cream
1/4 oz milk
Dash of cinnamon (garnish)
Serve in a martini glass rimmed with sugar

6. Thanksgiving Cider Cocktail

This one is super-simple to make and tastes just like Thanksgiving-scented candle smell. It’s basically just pumpkin pie vodka and apple cider, but it’s the perfect drink for putting up with your family this Thanksgiving! A celebration of everything Autumn, the Thanksgiving Cider Cocktail is bursting with flavor.

1 part Pinnacle Pumpkin Pie Vodka
3 parts apple cider
Splash of club soda
Lemon wedge (garnish)

7. Ghost-Tini Cocktail

This one is admittedly a little out-there, but this pumpkin spiced martini is perfect for Halloween parties, or putting up with children as you pass out candy! Plus, it looks super-spooky. Boo!

1 oz Irish cream liqueur
3 oz vanilla vodka
2 oz Bailey’s Pumpkin Spice Liqueur
3 gummy worms (garnish)
Best served in a chilled cocktail glass rimmed with crushed Oreos

Those cocktails should keep your pumpkin spice fix under control this Fall. Don’t be afraid to treat with the occasional PSL from Starbucks as needed, like we talked about.
Whether you need something to tide you over until you get a slice of Grandma’s annual home-made pumpkin pie, or something to get you through Trick-Or-Treating — whether you’re looking for something simple and dry like a Martini, or something decadent and creamy like a Mudslide, we’ve got the recipe you need to impress the pumpkin spice fanatic in your life.
And if you know someone who’s anti-pumpkin spice, delete them from social media right now because you just don’t need that kind of negativity in your life. Celebrate Autumn the way God intended — with boozy pumpkin spice cocktails.
