What Mom Really Wants: 6 Perfect Mother’s Day Cocktails

You were always her favorite. Here’s how to keep it that way.

It’s that time again—time to celebrate the woman who sacrificed an untold number of things in order to help you grow up into a real human, and who almost certainly dislodged a marble/M&M/Lego from your nose at some point.

You could go the obvious route and get her some flowers or a monogrammed towel or whatever. Or you could give her what she really wants this Mother’s Day: the ability to get a lil’ tipsy on a Sunday.

Get some cocktails delivered & you’re all but guaranteed to maintain your status as Her Favorite:

A Mule for Madre

1.5 oz. Don Julio Blanco

.5 oz. lime juice

Ginger beer

Lime wedge (optional)

Jalapenos (optional)

Combine tequila and lime juice in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake until icy cold. Strain into a glass with fresh ice and top with ginger beer. Garnish with a lime wedge and a slice or two of jalapeno if you want a little extra kick.

The Tipsy Pitcher

1.5 cups Pimm’s

1.5 cups ginger ale OR lemon-lime soda

Cucumber, cut into wedges

Orange, cut crosswise into slices

Lemon, cut crosswise into slice

Large bunch of mint

Combine Pimm’s, orange slices, lemon slices, and mint in a large pitcher. Chill for about 10 minutes and then stir in ginger ale or lemon-lime soda. Fill pint glasses halfway with ice and add two long cucumber wedges to each glass. Add additional mint leaves to each glass, then fill with mixture from the pitcher. Garnish with extra fruit.
